HXStomp FrontAux3 MIDI
The below information applies to both the FrontAux3 MIDI and the Fat FrontAux3 MIDI.
At boot, the LED’s will flash an RGB pattern to test the lights. It will then flash each switch mode, followed by the MIDI channel (status pixel is blue in this stage), followed by the firmware version (status pixel is white in this stage).
The Firmware version, Red flashes are the major version, and green the minor.
If you’re in Snapshot mode, at this point it’ll flash green LEDs to let you know it’s in snapshot mode. If not, it’ll light up the switches with their repective footswitch pixel color helping denote the mode.
When the unit is fully powered up and in it’s running state, the status pixel no longer means anything related to footswitch programming. Right now it’ll simply light up Red and stay on, but we’ll be adding things in the future such as it flashing to the tap tempo beat/etc.
To change what each footswitch does:
During boot press and hold the Far Left footswitch until the status pixel red = config mode, release switch
Press a footswitch to edit that switch; editing is a combo of status pixel & footswitch pixel;
The first press of a footswitch will show you the current mode
Each additional press of the same footswitch will cycle through the options as shown below
Press a new footswitch to see that footswitch’s mode and start editing that footswitch
Wait for 10 seconds pressing nothing, and your changes will be saved and the controller will reboot

To edit the MIDI Channel commands are being sent out:
During boot press & hold the middle switch until the status pixel turns solid blue
Release the middle switch, and the current MIDI channel will flash on the Footswitch 1 oixel:
A red flash means +5
A green flash means +1
Example - Channel 1 = 1 green flash
Example - Channel 7 = 1 red flash + 2 green flashes
Example - Channel 14 - 3 red flashes + 4 green flashes
The Left switch decrements the channel by 1, while the Middle switch increments by 1
Wait 10 seconds and it’ll automatically save
Snapshot Mode:
Snapshot mode puts the 3 switches into a mode where the 3 switches & their LED’s represent the 3 snapshots available on the HXStomp. Please note that when switching presets, the HX does not provide a way to “follow” the snapshot so after changing to a bank, press a footswitch to sync back up what snapshot is active.
To get into Snapshot mode:
During boot press and hold the right switch until the status pixel turns solid green, then release
The far right switch turns snapshot mode on and off.
All-white == snapshot mode
All-red == not snapshot mode; i.e do the regular programmed footswitch commands from above
While in Snapshot mode:
Firmware < 2.1
Hold Left Switch for FS4
Hold Middle Switch for FS5
Hold Right Switch for Tuner
Firmware 2.1+
The commands sent when folding footswitches in Snapshot mode are configurable via the “To change what each footswitch does” section above
